The bass version utilizes a signal recovery circuit to retain a true bass sound combined with a smooth overdrive. This pedal sounds huge compared to most standard overdrives because it is optimized for bass guitar. Most overdrive and distortion units are designed for guitar and cut off the low end signals crucial to any good bass sound. This pedal is the biggest sounding bass overdrive you will find.

The guitar version does not have the recovery circuit, and is optimized for great guitar tone. The tone circuit and level control make this pedal's tonal characteristics incredibly flexible.
